Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Good people lose their jobs because these new jokers don't know how to run a business

I worked for Lowe's for 20 years.

Starting out part time working my way up to an assistant manager.

It all really started going downhill after former CEO Bob Tillman stepped down, Nick Canter stepping down and you let people like Bob Nibloc and others come in and seriously take what was once a great company to work for and turn it into a miserable company to work for and you're always looking over your shoulder to see who's the next round of people to get laid off.

Good people who are pleasant to work with and for who will lose their jobs because these new jokers don't know how to run a business except into the ground.

Too much lip-service, not enough hands-on management from ASMs. Messages about what is most important to the company changed every other week!! Customer serviced stressed as top priority, but staffing cut in departments that require the most associate assistance!!

Worked part-time at Lowes after retiring and noticed so many mixed messages from management. A lot of hype about customer service being number 1 priority, then cuts in customer service hours. Theft always a big concern/issue especially in tool department, then cuts made and one person on nights to watch 2 departments (tools and hardware) often leaving tools (heavy theft) unmanned for 10-15minutes at a time! ASMs spent most of their time in the office and had no idea what was happening out on the floor, unless a DM was in the store!!!
