Houma MFG has a few good managers...Op Manager, Inventory Manager and Quality Manager in particular. Despite the hate for management, these fellas get things done.

Most managers do not have the basic engineering knowledge. They suck up to their bosses and keep their positions!
Not JOE ISSAC , the Halliburton reject.
We have a good one at our location also. The man is non stop. Place was a mess before he got there and in a year its tip top shape. Most managers are jerks. To bad he wasn't here sooner.

We have a great plant manager where I am. We went through a few GM's before they brought this man in but he has our respect. Not naming location though.
Few and far between, most of the ones I know have got where they are through being friends with the existing Managers of sucking up to them being the "Yes" men. You can get far in Weatherford if you don't rock the boat and upset the Managers and Vp's. Anyone who rocks the boat is either stitched up by HR or made to feel so uncomfortable they have to leave. Too many things swept under the carpet at this company or down in between the floorboards where the vermin thrive !!!!
Bernard is a great executive and leader for Weatherford.
Look at which PLs don't have many people quitting on their own and you'll know where the good managers are. They sure as heck aren't staying for the good pay.
Please don't name anyone. Posting people's personal info is pretty messed up even if it is complementary.
