Can you confirm that Chevron deducts the salary made during the last 60 days on the payroll (June 13) from the total amount of your eligible severance? If so, what does it matter if your termination date is a week or two earlier? You are still going to get paid the same.

everyone left standing will be on the payroll until June 13th, then they will receive their severance (2 weeks per year of service, pro-rated for partial years) and their vacation balance.
medical coverage is provided until June 30th since the month is paid in full, so be sure to get whatever you need to have done (medical, dental, vision) by then then.
after that there is supposedly a reduced rate for up to 6 months of COBRA coverage but I have not seen confirmation about that. if not, then Obamacare may be your best option
