I need some help here - can someone recommend a really good and, most importantly, very aggressive Whistleblower Lawyer here in Houston. Cannot disclose much here but in short, I would need an investigator and an attorney to support my case - I think I've had it.

Yeah they sold themselves out as soon as they said " best corporation out there".
Hell Cargill and Koch pay better and have the same retirement... I'm not saying I'm going to try to get hired on there, but I'm going to interview soon.
They're HR trying to cover themselves
Lol at Chevron being the best. This is the only place you work?
@mxt Thanks HR, we appreciate the comments. For future reference I wouldn't say this is the best corporation out there. Sure there are some good guys, but the bad guys and nepotism out way that.
It is what it is folks, if you get laid off get on with your life! I guarantee you won't find a better company than Chevron out there!
As far as sueing them.. get on with your life and let it go.
Life is like this. You are not special nor are you entitled to anything! Get over yourself
Troll or not, who's to say you're not CVX HR trying to cover your butt?
Prove me wrong HR?
@twu, no lawyer can win against the TRUTH. If there is even a small perception of evidence that Chevron is stacking the deck with the demographics reports in these layoff lists, they will SETTLE any complaint out of court. Chevron is banking on their over-the-top language in the waiver papers that very few retirees will turn around and Sue them anyways. I can assure everyone, if you get a good lawyer to mount a strong lawsuit against Chevron for age discrimination, Chevron will put up a defence, but will a little persistence on your part, they will SETTLE with you. How do I know? They always settle strong lawsuits.
It's just too bad that you guys are responding to an idiot TROLL who posted this just for attention and ran off and has no intention of doing anything and never had a case to start with.
The walter Humphrey law firm in Beaumont,Texas is a very aggressive whistleblower firm.88
I'm 99% sure I know who @jok is, I'll even go so far as saying CTEP, and I owe you a beer after our final 4 bet.
It's no secret what they told you, and how they put it. We thought you were safe, sorry to hear you got cut.
Trust me, you will never win against the Chevron lawyers.
If you knew about an issue and didn't report it at the time, you are a guilty as anyone else. Good luck getting paid for something that you just now decided report. I know that I'm going to make some of you barf with this statement but "if you see it, you own it". That doesn't meat a year later when you get layed off.
It is amazing how people feel entitled. You are not entitled to the job you just got laid off from. You were released because you did not become an asset and attribute value in that position. Now you feel the need to "get a lawyer". Please people, you need to accept it and move on.
I've personally witnessed numerous spills go unreported or drastically minimized (as per suggestion of CVX HES) prior to reporting. I think a call to BSEE anonymous tip line is in order.
One call.... thats all ... 1800morrisbart
This is garbage and BS people. No one honestly thinking about reporting some imaginary ALLEGED wrongdoing would be posting it on a public forum. This is just a troll or some idiot blowing off steam. Until the OP Troll responds, I take this all as BS. Notice how he or she disappeared after the post/question?
If you have evidence of wrongdoing, you can anonymously file a complaint on the cvx fraud hotline. They take that stuff very seriously.
If I was you I would not be posting here anything. Do your research, but layoff.com is not the place for this kind of endevour.
@eta LOL, Howard would like that
I would file my severance papers and bank it first before suing Chevron. The waiver contract may seem air tight to most people, but Chevron lawyers have heard and know what extortion means. Extortion or Coersion is what that damn waiver is all about. They know it. If you have a valid claim against Chevron, an experienced lawyer can get you a big settlement. Don't expect to win in court, as Chevron will fight that to the bitter end, but a settlement is very much in the cards.
If you need an anonymous extra source with the company breaking laws ( BOP test chart spinning) and hiding it, post an anonymous email address here. I'll send you what I have, and it's a lot (signed statements) and copies of the charts before and after. And since I'm not suing I don't lose the severance package :)
I have a feeling you're going to get more as well
Yellow Pages. Dime a dozen. Why look here? Trying to incriminate someone?
I am more of an HHM guy myself
Saul? Yes, you better call Saul...
