A few positions have gone in the last year as they adjust to market.The oil price decline hit them hard but they are a strong company overall.

It's not a few people laid off. It's been massive around the world including Europe where the business has been good in 2016. Won't improve in 2017 according to Farr himself
This is a layoff board. Let's be real here. They may be strong overall, however that is debateable (not even close to preFarr). Strong companies ditch good employees at the first sign of trouble to protect the C level. With that, EMR has been drowning for 3 years.....there have already been significant cuts and it changed nothing. There will be more and more coming. Farr won't survive this if the board ever wakes up and grows a pair. He will land softly with his chute...everyone else will be collateral damage and a one great company gone.
