Meetings have been held. Many expats, alot with experience, are told they are not selected. Commence the long march home.
Good luck to the rest of you.

Miss information in this thread. No Venezuelans working as DEs in Bangkok.
'Must-move' was a joke, trying to make this entire process look fair. Maybe 10% must - moves got placed. Such a waste of everyone's time. Looks like the representatives that went to Houston spent all the effort saving their incumbents in open positions. Such a sham!
When will Cabinda expats know? Have not heard anything yet
@-kfs, I'm sure she feels the same way about you. Who do you think will get their wish?
I am one of the drilling engineer being told I am left standing. I had until June 30th to be remained as an expatriate then I would be repatriated back to Venezuela. I learned some sweet-smooth talking expatriates from the US are staying put in land-of-smile.
really hope Trisha from finance gets fired
From what I saw today, 90% is being nice...
I didn't expect see a couple of the guys getting cut, they were good engineers and DSMs...
"We may not pay the best, but we take care of our people in a downturn" & "We learned from the layoffs in 86" was told to me when I hired on. After I was read the "script" I laughed and told my supervisor "you know when things get better, everyone is going to run away" all he could say is I know, you guys don't trust us anymore...

I called 90% of "Must Moves" would be cut, corporate wide. What a nice way to treat those who went overseas for the company, but were not able to get another Visa.
Not everyone who is an expat lives an extravagant life. Some are in Angola.
I'm one of the guys axed. I can tell you it was brutal, almost all on the "must move" list all were cut including DSM's. One guy asked to be on the list because he just had twins last year and wanted a shorter hitch. A couple of guys were from countries we pulled out of (Romania). And the rest were just because????? there was no rhyme or reason
hnc - what local paper - I looked bkkpost and nationmulti...
Left standing or reassigned to domestic position?
Local paper says up to 4o percent Thais are getting axed soon, what f---ing chance did you think you had?
Do you have a number, how many Chevron guys are laid off
