Thread regarding CenturyLink layoffs

Love my job

I love working at centurylink. I get paid good and it's not that hard of work, but it seems management has no idea what they are doing and we are hiring a bunch of idiots that have no clue and others are having to pick up their slack. We need new employees who care about their jobs and managers who are not so ignorant. Also where I work their is a union and they need to go away because of them managers can't put people where they want them because they have to go by seniority which drives me crazy I have people working better shifts when they suck at their job and can't Handel it plus the rules of what we can and can't do change every week and that gets confusing for customers and the employees

Well.. that pay your happy about.. negotiated by your union.. if you didn't have one I might add your job may have been moved out of country. .. it's not a perfect system I'll give you that but I and you will be happy to be collecting our union negotiated pension at some point. They don't have that on the non represented side...just saying.

This seems to be a recurring theme on this board. Very little talk about layoffs (and they are happening) but a ton of bitching about managers.

CenturyLink has the weakest management I've ever seen, that is primarily driven by low compensation levels. I agree with both @GMbJ2ka and @lhc though.
