Thread regarding Halliburton Co. layoffs

Is it 5000 employees and consultants? Or just 5000 employees plus an unspecified number of consultants.

A year ago they said there would be 6400 layoffs for the quarter, or 8%. of the workforce, but there was in fact much more. This time around they are saying 5000 layoffs, and surprise surprise it is 8 percent of the workforce.

Does anyone beleive it will be only 5000? And is this 8% number stratigically chosen, because that number doesn't sound so harsh?

5000 employees. Consultants do not count, as they do not show in asset count numbers. If you are in Canada, employees will get screwed & consultants will stay working. How backwards is a place that prefers to treat their contractors better then their own employees? Sperry that's who! No wonder they are being divested and can't keep work. When I was let go their were over 30 consultants still there!!!!

They need to cut the consultants on integration team. Clowns strut around campus like they are in some super imposed Goldman Sachs and BMW commercial and then request data on how many chairs your group has like they have solved integration planning string theory and it involves chairs. A lot of bull and no brain
