Chatter at the office is overwhelming but not a peep from senior management. Why?

There was nothing communicated at the luncheon that wasn't already known by ALL employees based on information disseminated to the entire APC community in the initial announcement and or FAQs. They can't communicate what has yet to be determined. There is no date certain (except as previously communicated by end of 1st qtr) and no decision as to what percentage of staff will be affected. While it's nerve-racking for all, I'd rather they do the appropriate due diligence than throw out numbers and information just to appease our need to know. The only question I have is why they gave us so much advance notice (since it wasn't a statutory requirement). It's the waiting part that's weighing on everyone and that includes management charged with making these difficult decisions.
I don't think the birthday lunch is the appropriate forum to communicate important information to employees. It leads to mis-information and is not all inclusive. I expect more foe APC leadership.
Al gave a little insight into what's going (at least as much as he can share at the moment) at the February birthday luncheon. He took questions and answered them as directly as he was able. I'm trying to be patient and realize Mgmt is doing its best to do this the "right" way by minimizing the carnage, but maximizing the efficiencies gained through the RIF. The harsh reality is that regardless of the outcome, there are no winners and no one emerges unscathed from the process.
The INSIDER post didn't contain any information SPECIFIC to this layoff, it was a politically correct HR manual
There was an update two weeks ago. Do you even INSIDER, bro?
That's why we have this website
Hahaha, funny......
Core value open communication.
