Thread regarding Halliburton Co. layoffs

Halliburton history lesson 101. Halliburton WILL lay you off.

Halliburton has always operated with no regard for its employees. Over hire to get the work done than boot everyone immediately when they don't need them. Now they are even letting go of their core employees. Get out, and don't ever come back.

Hal doesn't owe me squat. I had the chance to choose Hal years ago and chose otherwise. I spent 33 years with a company similar to Hal. In that time there was never a lay off, because that company made good choices. They chose not to over hire and pace themselves. That CO. thrives today. My point is Hal has always operated like this and always will. Just know that when you choose an opportunist company like Hal. It's temporary work, if you did work there for 40 years consider yourself lucky.

First, you're full of shit. I've worked at Hal for 40 years. Check our benefits against our peer companies. They're as good or better than any. Second, Hal isn't a non-profit charity. Bottom line is they have to make money. I've never heard so many crybabies that think Hal,owes them something. No,wonder Bernie is doing well in his race. A lot of you act like having a job is in our Bill of Rights.

That's just it, you should expect to be laid off. It's their history. How can you plan a future with a company that has this history. It's a temporary job and nothing more.

What do you expect when oil is $30 a barrel? Halliburton is not a charity.
