CGG management have taken this company stock from $65 in 2007 after the Veritas merge, to 65c today.
What do you suppose the board are thinking ! Are they capable of thinking ?

It will worth only 6.5 cents soon.
Things are getting better now, i think CGG has put the worst behind them.
what makes you say that?? i don't see any reason to be optimistic.

Ha.... it was usual to bring in spare parts in personal luggage when working for CGG offshore India. On the way home it was always a few (dozen) data tapes.

Don't think it was just the wavefield and fugro acquisitions that screwed them. Just as much the day to day interference from management who's only purpose was seemingly to interfere and generate ridiculous procedures so as to justify their own existence. I have worked for a number of seismic contractors but none quite like CGG.
I continue to be amazed how Malcor keeps his job. The exploration industry is in terminal decline right now, but a lot of the challenges CGG faces are of their own making.... i.e., Wavefield and Fugro acquisitions. I formerly worked for Veritas and now still work for CGG for the time being (reckon I have another three months to go), but it makes me so angry that French CGG management destroyed a once great company.
