The Suwanee and Horsham IT departments seem to be a big target. Curious how the Finance and Engineering teams will be effected. Guess we will see tomorrow. Good luck!

That sums up HR pretty nicely. We have long referred to Dawn as the Grim Reaper. The only time she ever makes an appearance is when layoffs are occurring.
One lesson here is to not give your heart and soul to your job. Now, if you're like me, you can pretend that you do. But don't actually do it. A corporation does not care about you, in spite of what they say. The whole "family" thing is a load of crap. Don't buy into it. And remember that Human Resources is there for one purpose and one purpose only. While they may seem like the people who are on your side and provide benefits etc, their only real purpose it to prevent the company from getting sued. That's it. Keep that in mind and don't ever confide in an HR person unless you're being harassed or something. And even then, remember that they are still trying to not get the company sued more than they are trying to really help you. Treat your job as a paycheck unless you are a brain surgeon or something. The company doesn't care so be careful how much you do.
Sorry to hear. Best of luck. HR should be covering the info on severance, unemployment, COBRA. Get in touch with them if you have not heard from them.
Lowell IT was decimated as well.
Sorry to hear. Best of luck.
I was laid off today along with a slew of my coworkers. One after another. I never thought for one second I was on the list. Surprise!! I gave my heart and soul to my job. Cannot believe this happened. Wondering how to apply for benefits if I am getting severance...
