With the acquisition of Motorola things changed rapidly

I left in 2013 and I am sorry you have to deal with all of this now – 10% is a lot but if they continue to integrate Pace at this rate, you will see more layoffs at both ARRIS and Pace very soon – anyhow, my boss was super rude, abusive and had no clue about what she was doing.

My team was awesome, and that’s the only reason I’ve stuck with the company for so long (8 years). With the acquisition of Motorola things changed rapidly, all of the sudden many things changed overnight and things went down hill – you remember the layoffs too – so, not good. But I think the company reached the bottom, for you guys, there is only one way – UP…

No, ARRIS was a cool place to work atleast on the IT side. Always getting things done and not a meeting/documentation/project management bs. But once MOT came in, it is all about meetings and crap like that, and those moron doesn't even do any jackshit

No, ARRIS is SO much worse than MOT.

Yes, Arris has always been very process driven. My observation is that most of the people who really accomplish something are the ones who can figure out how to do things their own way while maintaining an appearance of following the process. So often I've exited an hour+ long meeting to realize I could have got everything that involved me from a 5 minute email.

@1jps - it's gotten worse with time, but yes, it was always meeting heavy

Just curious - did ARRIS have so many meetings and so much process before the Motorola acquisition? I've only been with the company a couple years but my job is meeting, meeting, meeting, process, process, meeting, process. I find the Moto people to be process robots. Maybe that was always the case at ARRIS?
