Thread regarding Intuit Inc. layoffs

10% cuts every year

Intuit has a history of laying off 10% of their staff every year. While most assume only the bottom feeders get the axe, think again. The company has a terrible track record of acquiring, not being able to merge offerings or over-hiring in select teams. The result is that good people leave or are "asked" to leave every July.

It's definitely not just "bottom feeders" who get the ax. In times past, entire departments have been let go.

IT business company is a terrible place to work. From the top, there is a scare mentality to brow beat people below without any appetite to listen to bad news. Each Manager is scared of his boss and it traverses up. Responsibilities for a space is owned by multiple people (due to bad re-orgs) and ends up no one willing to solve a problem. But for sure will see how to blame the other one
