No matter what company lays off employees, it is the fault of mgmt in one or many ways and management should take a proportionate if not larger layoff hit.

Stover, Fisher, Cunningham.....should all be fired immediately just so people don't have to listen to their cap anymore. They can take their millions and go live happily ever after.
It's not that the lower managers know too much, in truth they know too little. They are simply enablers, they shamelessly backstop upper management regardless of how flawed the decision. It's more like a roll-over and bark like a dog thing. They are really, really good at that trick. Like a good doggy they get rewarded with a treat after, they get to keep their jobs.
Could it be some of the lowlifes know too much dirt to layoff?
Noble is a company for management by management. The rest of us are just peons. It is so obvious that this is their attitude.

I agree 100% with you, but unfortunately it does not apply to Noble. Under Susan Cunningham’s mentality, the more you fail the better off you are. Not only did the head of the groups not lose their jobs, but failures like Falklands Humpback-1, Nicaragua Paraiso-1, Cameroon Cheetah, South Texas Lake Arthur, GOM Shelf and etc. promoted them.
Noble is unique in the way that it has protected this sorry group of senior management.
