layoffs have been confirmed, 100 percent positive its going down tomorrow, I have heard big numbers and small numbers. No one has any work, and I mean no one, the oil field isnt turning around anytime soon. Customers have slowed down alot, they had a crisis meeting last week, all the pgls, managers, and HR people were away all day, trust me its going down in the morning.

I heard from a reliable source they are doing away with weekends and night shift day shifts only at duncan manufacturer skeleton shifts and in parts of the shop that don't have work the lights will be shut off and there going for older veterans that have been here longer than 20 years

Got it today. At least don't half to worry about it any more. Not hearing much about how many others got it today. We stood watching as they walked out one guy and talked about who might be next until they walked me out. Good luck guys! The ones left are going to half to take a lot more crap now thinking they will be next.
Wasn't any dick lickers in my group some damn smart and hard workers and one really cute girl. Must have a gay boss or she is married.
They did it in the epic room bc of the safety meetings, but nothing happened today that was yesterday
It wasn't in the east and west conference room anyway 20 people in my group 49 got it today. Feel so damn happy glad I don't have wait anymore they surprised me wasn't expecting it that late in the day. There were cops just not in plain sight got the hard workers in a few departments and the higher paying ones. Whoever don't suck ass will lose there job

Layoffs will not end until we pick up. Even if there is a layoff tomorrow, you will still walk on thin air. They are watching your every step waiting on you to make a mistake. Until market conditions get better we will be locked up in this prison with out the possibility of parole. If you get laid off, dont think of it as a bad thing, think of it as an opportunity to better yourself and find a company that actually cares about you.
That makes a lot of sense when you say that. Because it was something that no one thought was coming. You would have thought the cops would have been there if they were that afraid of them acting out. But I guess the shock and awe took that away.
The Tuesday layoff was a shock and awe for a reason. There was a few loose cannon types that they didn't want to give the chance to act out. They mixed a few normals in an a few volunteers to pad it.
Not sure what to think, but if something does happen, lets all hope its small. I have been there 30+ years and am scared to death about my job. I have seen a lot of older hands get walked out. Its ashame, you bust your ass and get treated like shit. Is it because we make a lot more money and are a bigger threat than all these kids that are working there? Anyways maybe nothing will happen.

Heres the deal, the 20 that got laid off had to be done due to the amount they are getting tomorrow. Its a numbers game and the unemployment office only can take so many, and they had to cut the plant by a certain amount by the end of the week. Numbers will be ugly tomorrow. 150 to 175
I dont know why they did it Tuesday and not wait and do it all at once. I was wondering that my self. That being said I do believe that it will be tomorrow. Upstairs will get hammered.

Why would they do a layoff (20) people Tuesday and do a big one Thursday. Makes no sense to me, why wouldnt they have done it all tomorrow. Can anyone try and explain this to me?
