About three weeks ago, a recruiter told me that "at least a 10% layoff" would be announced on the same day they reported earnings. I have no idea how he knew that, but he was spot on.

Recruiters are typically the last folks to knew, the fact that we will go through cuts was well known for a while now, just look at the threads on this site, they started to flare up almost 2 months ago
