Kmart I work at is in the process of sending apparel, jewelry, possibly other items to closing stores. (supposedly non selling items, looks like to me most of the store is non selling).. As of now we are not closing per management. Can anyone explain the purpose of this process...

my guess is that they are dumping the clearance and unsold seasonal on the liquidating stores to make room for new merchandise. Everyone just about flock like buzzards to a dying/dead store picking what they believe is bargains. Some is and some not so much. Greed of consumers/customers and greed of corporations both feeding off each other in this feeding frenzy.
