PLM aka People Leaving Mattel is still in full nonfunctional swing but my favorite part is that one of the idiot PLM propaganda police Daz M who forced it down our throats left himself several weeks ago which gave me a hell of a good laugh. He spent almost two years in development/training/implementation into our retched system then ends up leaving himself. God I love this place.
Still waiting....did the "then" all important A.I. Barbie bypass the PLM process in order to get it done near the target date, allowing it to bypass all the unnecessary, self imposed roadblocks?
Would LOVE to see the report on the PLM financials - return on investment. $70 MM plus the cost for all those "great job rolling out PLM despite it's inappropriateness" promotions for the key members is the break even point.

Do the meetings finally have an understood objective?

Are the right and responsible people showing up at the meetings?

Are the meetings productive or the same...ending with the "what did we accomplish" status?

Are the "let's change the design" over and over for the wrong reasons (egos and power statements) still prevalent?

Are the "let's change it one more time" meetings still held to insure that the product is late and at a higher cost due to added vendor charges (vendors love our senior mgmt.)?

Great questions provided below. But we all know you can't fire Kevin Farr or any Chief Vice Officer President. A better question is, "Why can't Kevin Farr decided to spend more time with his family and/or decided to pursue different opportunities?"
Has pipe line contributed anything to the company? Or is it a pipe dream? Sounds like the last ditch jumping-the-shark momentc to keep the company alive....Can't think of any better internal Ideas and all the money making licenses walked away, so let's regurgitate crap into even worse crap.

Why hasn't Kevin Farr been fired yet? Why did the company give Stockdown hundreds of thousands of dollars for a full year after trashing the company? How come Playground Productions is still in existence after accomplishing nothing other than trashing the Max Steel line which was an evergreen line for 10 years before that terrible animation they art directed? Why are we still forced to use PLM after it costs us so much time/effort/wasted resources? Why is a Marketing person VP of Hot Wheels Product Design? How many years/total D&D money was wasted on the failed BoomCo Line & did we even break even ? Why do stupid do nothing directors continue to be promoted to VPs?
