I agree 100% with the note about stepping outside your comfort zone and doing whatever it takes. In 2015 we were an anomaly in the industry, and did not have any mass layoffs. Just like the previous poster pointed out you need to be flexible and do what is asked of you. With these prices if you keep your job your are blessed. For some leaving may be the answer, but I need a paycheck and health insurance, so I am going to do what it takes to help out without complaining. It will get better, but for now we are in a bad place as a industry.
I meant to communicate that I feel appreciate at Anadarko by a.) keeping my job and, b.) being asked to work outside of my comfort zone to save cost. Anyone who's not willing to do that -start layoffs with them.
We're even more of a target for takeout at $32 plus a premium. I want to thank Anadarko execs for keeping our jobs. Yes things are changing but so far anyone who is flexible and willing to take on new challenges, and work leaning up processes and cutting costs should feel like they are appreciated. Lite-middle manages (supervisors) should be working managers in the sense that they do the work they supervise and should be capable of training that they oversee.
This type of miss-information is not responsible. There are no offers being rescinded, selective hiring will continue, no offer has ever been rescinded absent of failing a drug test.

Why is exec pay going up
At these prices something has to give. Executive team needs to let employees know the 2016 outlook for the company. Layoffs, merger, ???
