Thread regarding Halliburton Co. layoffs

Sponsorship Workers

It's amazing how HAL Laid off many senior guys, US Veterans, and US Citizens, with and without degrees, But Why are they keeping so many People with B1 Visas or Work Visas in the USA???? They Should be the first ones to go back to their countries, dont you all think? It's a lot of guys with HAL sponsorship still working for the company and looks like they are untouchable. do you want me to start mention all the names ??? SLB the Same , Baker Hughes the Same ......These companies started to look like the Homeland security, they did bring workers to the US with Sponsorship, and no wonder why we are without jobs...

You are without a job for a different reason. Don't blame people who are working hard and doing it the right way for your own incompetence.

FYI: B1 visa is a visitor visa (not entitled to work or hold a drivers license). 80% of employees with work visas are U.S. graduates. Though I agree with you on hiring high paid consultants over local staff.

New beeken is lobbying and taking away our jobs. Now I can see more of them at offices. Employees are moving out, contractors are coming in.

Why can't you understand you are just a number on a spreadsheet? How hard is that to grasp? Management is accountable to the share holdrs. I'm not saying that is right but it is the world we now live in. I hate it but cannot change it.

I used to work for Kent Beck in the early 2000s before he left Hal to start the company. Good guy and he's done well with Beeken. All they do is reverse engineering.

Confused. So if you are going to blow something, better it is Danish than a flute.

Halliburton's biggest vendor used to be BEEKEN Techquest, it was owned by a former VP of Halliburton.

They bring a few Indian workers into the US and teach them the ropes then they send them back to India where they get paid $10/month for the same work, while charging Halliburton $100/hr. This has been going on for years. They got caught because it was a brother in law deal so they formed a new company sold BEEKEN to themselves and continued on with the scheme. The guy that discovered all of the inside deals and links got run off by Halliburton but the good ol' boys continue to this day to pocket the big bucks while the workers in India suffer.

If we get any deeper in cuts this demographic may be interesting to watch and make note of. Just remember, a flute with no holes is not a flute, but a doughnut with no hole is a Danish.

They're much cheaper and producing the same amount of work. Furthermore, they're under constant threat if not performing, they'll be on a boat to their 3rd world home country.
