Very weak sauce from Citrix management.

A "Guy" did a layoff via phone and was not man enough to sit down face to face.

Me too. It was easier this way, did not have to look at them

they did it over the phone because management is afraid of "workplace violence"

Me too! Was suspicious when my manager booked a managing meeting as had only managed to do so four times in 5 years! Phone call with a bunch of the employment department. Still a bit shocked but relieved.

I was office based as were the HR rep and Director who ran the meeting all based in the same site

what option? Act like reasonable human beings? rather than not publishing the lists of people who were under consultation - because of data protection?!

If you are a remote employee, what option do they have?

Cmon it's citirx. Visualization at it's pinnacle! Sorry to hear about your bad fortune, but companies that have layoffs aren't good places to be anyway.

not the good ones!!!

Happened to me last year - just after my yearly appraisal too, an invitation to a phone call with an unknown number of others who all were informed that we were "at risk". nice divide and conquer mentality. if you are still in a role then dont trust any of the electronic systems, email, lync conversations, phone calls can and will be used against you to try and reduce your settlement
