Thread regarding Cabela's Inc. layoffs

Sidney troubles

No one is buying houses in Sidney and residents are tightening up and not spending money. All the businesses in town are affected. The city had to seek another avenue of financing for the pool. To sum everything up, things are not good and it seems that in 2016 it is going to be even worse than it is right now. I wish you all the best.

I left Sidney and never looked back. We had a beautiful home and a great piece of property. The climate was a challenge but interesting. It hurt far too much for what I went through with the management at Cabelas. Luckily it looks like some of them have left too.

The towns people are not friendly and the groups at Cabela's make sure you know you are not welcomed if you were brought in to help turn the place around.

The ego issues and the hard headed group will fail. It is a shame. Dick and his family built an awesome business, I love the outdoors and all that goes with it. But the people running that company are a real issue. The situation for Sidney is not only hopeless but in the current state is helpless. These people do not want help to turn it around. Sad so sad.

I agree that the situation in Sidney is hopeless and with the layoffs of 140 employees at ADC/Commsource approaching. I feel hopeless and afraid that we are going to loose everything we worked so hard for.
