Heard anything new?
Just got the call.
It has started. Guys getting calls on the rig that they are being replaced.
3 mwd coordinators and 2 dd are heading out, leaving 6 total; down from 16. According to the job board.
I bet most of you could suck a golf ball through a garden hose.
Man there's a lot of peter puffers in this district......
No one cares what you think you know.... you f---ing fruit.
Re: Post ID: @FZ7KAfc-3biz.
You think I don't know who posted this. Think again.
Hell, mine never returns calls. If it wasn't for an email every now and again about achieve I would have zero contact with him.
Something is going down. My coordinator not returning calls.
It is a done deal. Denver are cutting one MWD and Dd coordinator.
Rumors! Rumors!
Not just cutting field next week. Will be big cuts in Denver support staff.
Obviously too many.
How many hands do we have left?
MWD hands rule and dd drool
MWD hands are the geyz, bitches!!
DDs are the geyz
*rumor
What a dumbass, probably an MWD.
Oilfield: Love/Hate relationship. Rig count has dropped 70%, oil is hovering around $30 a bbl, doesn't paint a pretty picture for job security for anyone. I was let go from BHI prior round and hold no grudges. After 6 years with the company and amount of rigs let go I was pleased to last as long as I did. if there is coordinators going back to the field, I only hope they prove they belong out there amongst the strong hands still employed. I was given the chance to be a coordinator (like many others) but turned it down do to pay decrease and location of the office. Wish I would of atleast went in and tried it out but may of taken it and then disgruntled employees would be saying I couldn't hack it out in the field. Thanks Baker for 6 solid years and pray not to many employees were nieve to think the boom was going to last forever.
*rumour
If there is anything to the rum our that Denver expect us to go down to 10 rigs we are all done.
For those that survive wage cuts will be the next thing.
Yeah they now have time. The football and baseball seasons are over!
What kind of severance are they handing out?
Good point! We have seen in the past year what happens when they come back to the field. Hard to believe that the powers to be don't see what we see in the field,. We are now losing market share. Time for our overpaid sales group to step to the plate.
How can you send coordinators back to the field when they were moved to the office because they f'd up in the field in the first place?? And as if they would even remember how to run any the tools that they never could run in the first place.
It will come back, and when it does we will have a choice of employers. I was let go a few months ago after 15 years. Notified by text so a little bitter to be treated as a number, but realize that business is business. Still relishing the thought that after all the field hands are gone HR and the office will be next.
sounds like Alaska
If you don't have a drinking buddy in the office or a branch on the family tree your name is in the hat.
Heard DD 4's and 5's are gone
Is there going to be any field personnel left at the end of the day? When it comes back we will be more dependent upon contract hands than ever.
Suprised GOM has not had more cuts in drilling systems yet.
Coordinators are going back to the field. Hope they do a better job than what they have done sitting in the office.
Doesn't surprise me. Seems for every rig that we lose the heads of 3 DD's and 3 MWD's are put on the chopping block. I guess that is business, but do we really need all the coordinators and infield supervisors?
