HP is getting it's ass kicked in the PC business. It's in survival mode. The choice is simple. Reduce cost of making PC's so it can remain competitive with all the other asian players (and that means laying off some of you now), or shutting down the entire company when it goes belly up (and that means laying off all of you and shutting the door).
Why don't you understand that the PC business has and will continue to be in decline. Since it's a commoditized business, the only way companies know is how to compete on cost and cost alone. And most U.S. companies will NEVER be able to compete on cost alone, when it has to spend so much on american labor.
