Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

"Corporate Staff"

Are Houston "corporate staff" in the ESP so we have more jobs to compete for? I think they went through a ROM last year but they have jobs I think I'm more than qualified for so why can't I get me something cushy? I'm guessing they got themselves real bloated over there. Don't think they cut 40% yet.

Corporate staff got only a handful of notices that the position is in scope. For all practical purposes they are out of scope.

Corporate staff will be cut too. Everyone is in-scope.

Pipeline company will not be in the ESP this go around but will undergo a headcount reduction. Pipeline has value to Chevron as a midstream business if it can execute effectively. An alternative is to sell it and pay a tariff to another operator. Less risk and lower cost.

No, Corporate can not be in any of the ROM or ESP events as we are depended upon to lead Chevron out this crisis.

What about pipe line are they in the ESP this go round. Does pipe line even bring in any worth to the overall company?

No they are not part of the ESP. They went through this in the fall. And no they did not cut 40%, which is why round 2 set for late summer early fall. They will get whacked again. The longer prices stay low the more severe each ROM will be....
