This is going to make alot of sense. I was an Admin that got laid off. Replaced by another admin from a closing division then she was let go. That left 2 admins at that location and then one left a few months later and now the other gives 2 weeks notice. Lines me up with the job and I work arrangements to get my job back. 2 weeks back and forth via phone and text, was supposed to start Monday. I walked in today and a admin from somewhere else already says she had the job. Manager knew this, they say HR had to send her because she was about to be laid off. TWICE this has happened. Now I can't get extended unemployment benefits due to job hindering searches 2 weeks out that were impeded by this mess. I only have text logs and phone call logs to prove if I get an attorney to help me get my unemployment extended.... Thanks alot!

@FVhgXKY-2zkn Thanks for letting me know. Been here 2 hrs now but I have to try. I cannot find anything where we live so I guess it's all about fast food from here. At least my bachelor's degree will account for something!
Sorry to break it to you but you can't get Unemployment Benefits extended in Texas, maybe nowhere. I tried to get mind extended after I didn't find a job for 6 months but they told me that wasn't an option - period.

No case with unemployment do you mean? Just for the record, if you read what I am writing, you will see that my issue is with unemployment denying an "extension" of benefits... not the company!!!! I dont care about what they've done to me but what they've done to my benefits now! Comprehension is the key... so comprehend!!!

@FVhgXKY-twx, it's not a matter of letting it go... problem was I did after I was layed off. Just when I got the ball rolling again, found the self esteem to go forward with interviews and not finding employment, this opportunity came about. It's about the confirmation of rehire, possible avoidance in the state where I live that would deny me the extension of unemployment benefits that could have been intentionally done by this company. I think this was a purposeful act and I will bring it to light. This was wrong and they know it and they think I will go away like everyone else that brushes off the fact that it's the oil field! Humanly unethical by all means and they shouldn't do this to people who went a year worrying about getting layed off, then getting layed off, looking for work and then a promise to be rehired back. My job meant the world to me, and so did the people I worked with.

Just let it go, let it go! You will find something else. Oilfield is really bad right now but WFT is worse. TRUST ME. I knew someone else this happened to but they never had any issues with unemployment. I know different states have different laws and this guy was in TX. Don't really know if he had an extension problem because of it but I know he was going back and another transfer took his place in the middle of it all.
@FVhgXKY-gez I will be going down first thing Monday morning. I have enough correspondence that they may see on my phone to transfer via document, I hope. Otherwise, I will need a different route which may involve several procedures. My job search was very active up until I was given verbal rehire. Thanks for the concern and I hope it all works out too
@FVhgXKY-zhi Who knows at this point. I suppose it shouldn't have been an HR decision since they didn't save my job the first time around. It's a buddy system is all it is but I can tell you one thing that is happening: everytime they do this layoff and transfer process, they end up shifting the manager right after and then laying him off in the end! It's a game!
Try going up to the unemployment office and see if they fix it. They may even have that attorney to use. I am so sorry this happened to you.
Are you sure she was being layed off and that maybe she was recruited in by HR personally?
