when do the "good" patents expire?
I am curious as the licensing business of Q is highly profitable.
Qualcomm bundles it's patents, including many that don't apply and possibly some expired ones in the licensing deal. So in the end it doesn't matter until the number of applying patents in the bundle drop low enough that a customer makes it an issue.
Qualcomm's earliest patents are expiring. The earliest patents I filed while working at Qualcomm are expiring. However, I doubt this answers what you are trying to ask as your question shows a naiveté.
