Yeah, who is that Matt guy? I think I heard Richard brought him from the Jones group? He sure dresses spiffy, but he never talks to anyone and as far as I can tell hasn't really contributed anything major. But then again I never really understood that position. It seems like it has an overlap with Marcomm. And I don't get Marcomm either--why can't we just vend out our internal advertising (or whatever it is Marcomm does)?? We'd probably save a lot of money and have better quality brand-messaging.

I thought it was BS that created the GBT/NAD split, not RD. When RD returned in 2014 he hinted in his "unplugged" sessions that he didn't understand why they were split.
RD created the brand marketing division and the product marketing division to winnow the weak from the strong. obviously the setup didn't make any sense. now that he has top GMs in place he can get them to do the dirty work of consolidating the marketing groups back and then laying off the chaff right before bonus season. the company obviously has a lot of marketing people that don't actually do marketing. if you are one of them or don't have any friends in high places you better polish up your resume.
GBT and NAD merger confirmed and pieces already starting to move (Lori P SVP Highs). Look for weaker marketing staff to be let go as part of the consolidated.
With Evelyn and Voss being shown the door, can't imagine Stephanie will last much longer - she no longer has friends to protect her.
