AGX - It is classless and in poor taste for a CEO to be on the golf course at the time that thousands of employees are being notified about the status of their jobs and future. That is part of what's wrong with this company and country....everyone is about themselves, what they have ie...material possessions, and instant gratification. !! Long gone is the day that people are humble, make sacrifices for the good of others, pitch in, empathy, etc.

$15,000.00 entry fee to play a round of golf (4 hrs or so) at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am.....during a time where we are 'challenged' with cost savings within our business. Hyprocrisy and bullcrap! Thank you for truly being transparent with the employees of Chevron, JW. The rules are most certainly NOT for you.
oh give me a break... tell me you never play golf (or take any vacation days) outside of work?
so he's not a great CEO... he can't go play golf? what's he going to fix with these prices?
Watsons like "turn down for whatttt" lol
Does God see this? Justice please!
Life is not fair. It's not...
Well that's great to know - the asshole spends his day playing golf. You think he's worried about his next meal, or if he'll be able to pay a mortgage or better yet just to continue to get up and go to a job everyday - nope, his thoughts are on the course.
Sorry but it is more like 4000 cnaep jobs going away. 950 from Houston maybe.
The guy must have nerves of steel .. while Jeff Shellebarger and Steve Thurston addressed the employees in downtown Houston with more bad news, he is out there hitting the links.
I wonder if he is taking any paycuts to his salary or $20+ million bonus.
That's funny. That was one of the top plays on sports center last night. I was half asleep when I watched it and was still reeling from my in scope notification. I didn't realize it was THE John Watson, I just figured the guy had either the same name or I just had chevron on the brain.
That was only a warm up for his next eagle, when he makes 950 CNAEP jobs go in one shot.
What a great CEO
