A few of my rentals in the Silicon Valley are going to be vacant, as the tenants ended up cashing in their company and bought a house. I was worried that I was going to find a problem finding tenants in February, but my email is getting swamped with relocation agents trying to find homes for people joining Google, Apple, and Facebook. And a lot of these people are coming from San Diego. I'm guessing Qualcomm, lol.

Dear internet diary....
Some advice to some of you folks that might be relocating in the future.
If you're going to relocate, do it around the October-December timeframe. That's when some leases are up, when most of the ones with families aren't looking (because school already started in September and they wouldn't be moving to take their kids out of school), and when the holidays discourages before from relocating.
End of February is when things start to get crazy, and peak crazy reaches is in June.
Oh, and I thought these would be single folks who wouldn't be interested in SFH's, but I was wrong. Most of the relocations I've been seeing from san diego are families with one or two kids.
