Chevron needs to start making changes to emerge a stronger company. Stronger starts with a strong work ethic. Get rid of the 9/80 work schedule. Monday through Fridays for all office staff. Get rid of all diversity groups or the time they spend during work hours. No more BEN, SOMOS, LGBT, etc. No more fit breaks, no more smoking breaks. Eight work hours a day with a 30-minute lunch break. Strict adherence to attendance and 5% forced employee attrition each year. Good workers stay and weak ones get cut. Only then can Chevron be Better-Than-The-Best and The Most Admired.
Anyone who has visted the Exxon palatial Woodlands Estate would hardlu use the terms frugal and thrifty. Thoughtful and conservative maybe. Mplus they dont spend amuch on bullshit like dibersity training and LGBT nonsense. Their business is O&G not your personal business. Chevron will be the safest, diversest company to go down the shitter.
I have to laugh at every other Friday off. It's every Friday off at Chevron. No shame in Chevron. And people don't care. They flaunt that they just take off, go home when they please, miss deadlines. Why? No accountability.
Chevron is a great company. Great benefits, great people, great culture. Some of us had a choice, and we chose and continue to come to work (until we get laid off that is). Only when the ship starts sinking the rats come out on this site...where I am now :( . Anyway, when my buddies and I were applying we compared offers. Chevron and Exxon were about the same salary (Exxon a little higher) but the benefits, work-life balance, and general positive attitude at work made us select Chevron, even to this day. It's one of the reasons unfortunately why there's so little turnover at Chevron. People stay until retirement or are laid off.
Ahhhhhhh Chevron.........anyone proud to be working for Chevron? Worth getting out of bed in the morning for Chevron? C'mon now...be honest...how many times do you hit your snooze button before you get out of bed for Chevron?
Actually Chevron's pay is bottom half. Frugal for Exxon is not burning through cash on projects that don't produce.
They save the most on employees, they will try to pay you as low as possible - you work for us so be happy with hit
