Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

A question in Fixed term contract

When should we expect the contract to be renewed if contract end date is June 2016. Do HR give advise the timing. So far they dont give any advice.

I assume you are talking about a labor/contract employment contract, HR typically is not involved in that process. You probably will not know until within 30-60 days of expiration and it will most likely be the management of the group you work supporting and perhaps procurement. Hope this helps.

June is to far away for someone in chevron to care about. Check back after April layoff and someone will start working it. You need to go to your SO rep they are the one to write and extension and get with supply chain to make sure it's implemented. Last one I did was done during the week of expectation on the current SO. It's not unusually to wait until the 11th hour
