Anybody hear of any layoffs taking place in pipe line or did they lay off all their head count last year in 2015

Correct. Pipeline Company has both basic and advanced level "Canon Launching" among the new circus training courses listed in the 2016 LMT training roster. The advanced course introduces techniques used in the application of the double-barrel canon.
Pipeline is the circus where I had to learn the trapeze to quickly jump from one workgroup to another to avoid being ROM'ed out last year. I hear Pipeline management is now preparing employees for being blasted out of a canon for the next round of layoffs.

Barnum and Bailey is seeking to buy the Bellaire campus to build a bigger circus than Pipeline ever was.
Actually, before the merger between Texaco and Chevron, the Shell station was actually a Texaco...
@2zlq, you better know Pipeline will be reducing staff levels more still. Do you think they are wasting everyone's time organizing a committee to take another look at the org structure? I think the organization with be flattened by merging groups and getting rid of some middle and upper management. Of course, there will some regular folks taking a departure as well.
Everyone in pipe line seems to feel like they're okay because they think the cuts will only affect Upstream folks. I'm not so sure about that. Pipe line has been dwindling down in the last few years, selling assets. I think it would be smart to start securing other alternatives if possible but that's just my 2 cents. I'm looking to get out now before it comes down to them selling off.
I heard the Bellaire Office Complex is up for sale. That news came from a reliable source with proximity to CBRES. Not too sure about the timing, but if it's sold sooner than expected, the Chevron tenants will rent it short term until plans are in place to move the folks downtown or another location. Pipeline is the major tenant so the new location will likely be where we have a backup control center. I concur on additional layoffs coming by 3Q 2016. We will reduce pipeline mileage to only CPChem operated miles and some lines in California and GOM. The CA and GOM lines will be later sold and/or operated by others than CPL. HES, GIS, partial Control Center and Business Development will take the biggest hit.

Real estate signs are up outside the Bellaire bldg., drilled soil samples have been taken in 3Q/4Q, all texaco legacy test labs have been torn down by end of Jan 2016. Something is definitely brewing
Reply to @FO8ma6y - here's some truths and office gossip (not confirmed). Truth - CPL is still selling assets. pipeline mileage currently below 4,000 mi - after 2016 sales will be below 2,000 --- in 2014 CPL had about 14,000 mi. Gossip: By 3Q16 a new org chart will be in place. Gossip: 10-15% cut, but more likely 20-25%. Truth- Bellaire building for sale. Bellaire employees will be moved to downtown and other facilities. Truth - more layoffs in 2016 for sure. Truth - if you are good at 'sucking up' you'll be alright -- it's who you know, not what you know that will keep you around or if you're sleeping with a higher psg - you'll survive the cuts unless your amour gets cut, then you may need to worry.
