I would put University of Phoenix's "Rise to the Top" campaign as the most misleading for-profit college ad campaign that's currently being used.--almost as misleading as the Devry ads that recently got that school in trouble with the FTC. The Rise to the Top campaign is a prime example of how consumers may be duped if they do not have the requisite numeracy and critical thinking skills. And sadly, it uses the Department of Education as a shill. The small ads I found are part of Google AdChoices. AdChoices are ads on webpages you visit, based on your "preferences." So if you have been looking at colleges, these ads will appear on many webpages you visit. In a way, they are Internet trolls, following you as you travel the Internet. According to Rise to the Top ads, University of Phoenix ranks in "the top 25 of large schools after attending." If you click on the ad, it takes you to University of Phoenix webpages. The Rise to the Top campaign uses Department of Education data, the College Scorecard, to mislead consumers. 1. The data comes from surveys of students 10 years after attending, and I am skeptical about the validity of the numbers (e.g. What was the sample size?, Why is the median salary exactly the same for all campuses?). .......................https://collegescorecard.ed.gov/search/?name=university%20of%20phoenix%20 that information is also not provided. This is called "stacking the deck" and its extremely misleading.

They are cherry picking the data. The ads do not report the graduation rate.
UOP is using DOE websites as mandated by the DOD. DOD mandates informs that all schools use if the websites if they want to enroll military students. The data comes from our government. Get your facts straight before you post your feelings and bash a school.
Nothing will be more embarrassing than the red socks commercials. I wish I would have kept mine. I would have 2 red dickwarmers.
Don't think the FTC and California Attorney General won't take a look at the "Rise to the Top" campaign.......................https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/university-phoenixs-rise-top-campaign-stacks-deck-against-shaulis?trk=hp-feed-article-title-publish
Sorry about my post yesterday, I'm a cranky bitch and all these SEC and Federal agents swarming my office has me in a bad mood. I swindled millions of teenagers and stole billions from the taxpayers like the fattest, blackest crack whore there is, and my conscience makes me lash out at Camden. I am probably the most pathetic human being there is and I'm too lame to actually take credit for the scams and damage I've done.
What about the Phoenix Scholarship Reward Program and the Phoenix Academic Achievers Scholarship?
How misleading are those?
They are carefully crafted with their wording.
They are like the warranty on a Kingsdown Mattress, impossible to honor.
Also, Camden please do something else with your time.
Camden,
You are the biggest most pathetic excuse for a human being. Why are you such a hater? Look for a job, get some ass, go have a drink, find some friends do something other then stalk this University.
