What kind does everyone like?

As a former Chaparral employee (RIF'd in 2/15), my heart goes out to my Sandridge friends and colleagues (we ARE all in this together). Since early 2015, Chaparral has lost over 170 in the office, and countless field hands. Chesapeake has had their bloodbath, and I hear another one is coming soon. Devon's will be by the end of the 1st quarter.
Many posters point out that our industry is cyclical and will bounce back. Very true (eventually), but that doesn't lessen the pain for dedicated employees caught in the wringer, often only because they aren't part of the "in crowd", or because of bad management decisions, on top of $29 oil. It also doesn't lessen the pain for those who remain.
I hope your severance package is decent, as that helps. In any event, I strongly suggest you take a few days (or a few weeks) and just relax, have some fun, and try to put this painful experience behind you. Life will go on, even though not be as smoothly as going back to the same office with the same paycheck.
For those who were layed off, and for those who remain, be kind to each other. Remember, everyone is hurting.
My best to all of you.
You should bring those inflatable seat donuts. You know, the kind that makes sitting tolerable after serious backside trauma. I have a feeling we're all going to need one.
Are you supplying donuts to those let go, or those who survive the cuts? It would probably be much cheaper to opt for the latter. A couple dozen should do.
