You can cut all the frills anf refreshments you want but when it comes right down to it we emploeed the wrong people for far too long....if people would have paid attention to integrity within its employees instead of who they knew this wouldn't have happened. Knowing someone has nothing to do with them being a value. Sitting around gossiping ..all it takes is a group of 3 talking, lying spreading hate and rumors until it becomes a cancer slowly eating away at respect, productivity, values. Cut the cancer so those left can do their jobs!!!

A few of the most admired supervisors in information technology departed the company during the layoffs. Unclear if the individuals departed on good terms or bad terms. Ironic some of the most worthless supervisors remain. Nothing like friends and family to guarantee a role in the organization.
Management needs to know that most of us know why a lot of the employees are still employed at COP: ie. daddy works there so baby girl gets promoted faster than greased lightning; COST team members that got new jobs because they kissed Hatfield's ass; all the ass kissers/back stabbers; the entire worthless Center; employees with multiple claims against them but are friends of managers. We know who is creating value and who are wastes of space. Don't try to spin it at town halls. We aren't blind or stupid. Get some balls and CLEAN HOUSE.
Bankruptcy? Why would you do that. Seems to me you're setting yourself up for failure. Who will hire you with a bankruptcy on your record. Were there no other alternatives to ensure your financial stability in the event of a layoff? I was laid off a few months back. No job on my horizon despite diligent searching, but with unemployment checks, slashed home budget, Krogers meat sales on Friday, and a 401k I can tap into if things get really rough, I know I can weather the storm. Worse case scenario I sell the house and find a more economical place to live. HGTV show last night highlighted expat housing in Mexico for $500 a month. I hope others are thinking along the same lines and not taking drastic measures like filing for bankruptcy.
I was an EOI (and happy I did it), but yes, I saw things going bad in the days before I left. The power plays and deceit were rampant. In talking with those who are still there, it has only gotten worse. Sad for a place that used to be a great place to work.
how can you say they don't have integrity? Integrity is in their SPIRIT values? are you saying they are lying?
The best thing COP has going for it are these negative behaviours - who would takeover this company when you have to integrate a toxic culture?
There is differece between liking your leadership and respecting them. COP leadership is of old school mind, they are not open to fresh ideas or challenging thoughts, this is why I think in the end COP will ultimately fail. They need to revamp their leadership and their mindset. There are so many things that can be done to improve the current situation regardless of prices.
This exactly how I feel. I'm surrounded by toxic individuals who form a clique and focus all their energy on gossip and getting ahead. It sucks, but this is the kind of company to endorse this, from the top to the bottom. It's such a shame, but this company doesn't give a f--- about integrity. I hope they burn to the ground. I've already filed for bankruptcy. I have nothing to lose at this point.
