If you didn't hear from your director or higher you're fine for now. sadly there were some good people on that list. Some from every level though from coordinators and analysts to managers directors and VPs.

It was more than 150, for sure. Lots of long time employees, and amazing contributors.
To the people who just got laid off from Staples- keep your head's up. it might not seem like it now, but this may be the best thing that ever happened to you. I worked there for 12 years and got laid off (years ago) and it wasn't until then that I realized how badly we were treated and what a dead end job it was. Management at Staples are the scum of the Earth. Good luck and enjoy your freedom!
Sorry to hear that. Hope you land on your feet soon. There's likely a better opportunity out there for you! Feeling on our floor was pretty dismal - no one knows who's next. Low motivation and morale to keep things moving at this point. Is it just me?
@1qbx - what group?
I was let go today.. Sad
Sincerely sorry to hear that guys. But BTDT. At least you're getting severance (I hope). There are many victims of Staples "ghetto layoffs" in the field. They like to harass the shit out of people to get them to quit as they dig enough dirt to get them on a PIP and fired.
It sucks, but then Staples is a shitty company, hopefully a better opportunity opens for you soon because it will just get progressively worse at Staples. You know that $250 million they have to pay to OD is not going to be made up out of exec bonuses.
500 wouldn't surprise me given the number of people at corporate.
Sorry to hear below. Good luck with things to come.
The number was closer to 500. I don't know the exact # but that was the total being thrown around today.
I was let go today. I know of at least 8 or more on my floor alone. Could be even more.
It was bigger than 150
