The only way Staples will change is with a large amount of turnover on the top floors of Framingham. The current guys have no f---ing clue how to save the business and are just causing more damage.

Damn, I got three of them at least. Let's see, Ron's not going anywhere until the board votes. Shira is female and Otis is A/A.
"Expired resource" and "negative value asset" were indeed terms used to describe employees that Corp wanted gone. People that they feel make to much (regardless of strong performance) or people that dared to speak out about the execs poor leadership and lack of ethics.
Sorry to hear about your mother.
I do not know who your mom was or her position, but as another "expired resource" and "negative value asset" I was referring to the top echelon of corp, across all divisions.
Sargent, Doody, Burke, Pannell, Parneros, Goodman and all their cronies that devised policies to screw people over and made poor decisions DO need to go.
They had their chance, the company is TANKING with them in control.
This company has been outright malicious and extremely unfair to hundreds if not thousands of good people that were just trying to do their jobs. This board is full of people that were screwed over by Staples and I personally know many good people that were railroaded with no severance just because some entitled ass thought they made to much.
My mom is special to me and so were her coworkers that were played off. So glad to see compassion from you. Furthermore, I don't think anyone ever called you an "expired resource."
As an "expired resource" I can tell you having a family to support doesn't make your Mom special. Hundreds of other employees were let go over the last three years due to the poor judgement and planning of Staples executives. Store employees are consistently being asked to do more, with less, and without having had deserved increases to their pay. So, sorry to hear you Mom lost her job, but if you stick with Staples, eventually you will be facing this same situation.
One of the current guys was my mom, asshole. She lost her job today, along with hundreds more. I'm a freshman in college with two younger siblings. Think before you speak, these people have families that they are now going to struggle to support.
