I was layed off by Norway in October. Now they ring me for emergency cover, and pay me consultant rate plus another 50%. :)

8 consultants (some ex BH layoffs) have been given work, replacing 6 recently layed off DD. Therefore the economics appear that consultants are cheaper with no associated overheads. So any recent BH DD layed off should send resume to Norway, and you stand good chance for work!!!!! Soon all DD in Norway could be consultant.

They are easy to hire and let go, its kin of a on demand labor deal

One possible reason is that BHI does not have the overhead associated with "regular" staff. So if those consultants get the job done, they are a bargain.

BH now employing consultant directional drillers, after laying off staff directional drillers last month. Any explanation?
