I think if we are bought by Bass Pro or Field and Stream many of us in Sidney will not be left. They may give us severance packages but we will be out of a job. Has anyone been to Bass Pro corporate offices. It is impressive. They have lots of room to grow. What will this do to Sidney ? Has anyone tried to sell a house yet? We are very concerned but going to hold tight for now.

Poor babies. The day to day Outfitter on the sales floor has no such security. You can be fired at the drop of a hat for no reason at all. One day you have a job and the next, no money to pay the bills. And, they fight every single unemployment application.
Sidney sold the rest of us down the river with stupid management practices. Chickens do come home to roost.
No one is buying houses in Sidney and residents are tightening up and not spending money. All the businesses in town are affected. The city had to seek anothe avenue of financing for the pool.
