Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

How many of you team members have had an STL or ASTL who is a raging, lonely alcoholic??

Seems to come with the turf and the separation of powers and building friendships..ive noticed over the last few years they tend to hire TL's who are assholes too...rule enforcers

I found many of them to be liars at the behest of the global corporate manuevers..also with those great "open availability" schedules ,they dont seem to have any work/life balance which leads to marriage problems or drink..i have seen some cheat on spouses at home with team leaders too...

They drink to forget all the people that they have screwed over, and also to forget they work for an absolutely evil corporation. #TeamWFM

Yes, alcoholism is a mental illness but if someone is in leadership it has repercussions for the business and for the lives of subordinates. So if this is a known issue, the alcoholic should be told to get into a mandatory recovery program but not necessarily remain in leadership. Compassion doesn't mean the person doesn't have to deal with the repercussions of his/her actions. BTW I had an STL who was an alcoholic and it did impact that person's ability to follow through and be effective.

sorry no alcoholics, just leaders who addicted to pain pills. Stl in Davis ca is a mess. When not screaming at us in fits of rage she is high as a kite on pain meds. Frightening.

I am not kissing butt here but our STL and ASTL are great - they are engaged and supporting. I know that many people complain but our So Cal store is OK as it relates to this.
