The sense of entitlement on this board from some folks is truly staggering. Marathon does not owe you a living. Yes, your company has changed and maybe you miss the good ol' days. But this is not 1986. Grow a pair and get on with it - the rest of the industry has struggled just as much to adapt.

My greatest wish is to speak with you when you get yours. Rather than criticize the reasonable dissent, why don't you admit that these cut throats running the company dropped almost five billion on stock by backs just before the oil price fell dramatically and want to have no accountability to the shareholders or employees. Running off all your tenured, good people is no way to run a successful company, but apparently you are too boneheaded to realize it.

Technological advances and competition has caused pain for the oil industry in general, but to the benefit of consumers in the form of lower prices of not only gasoline but other products as well. This is miracle of a free economy! Innovation increases everyone's standard of living. The dinosaurs that cannot or refuse to adapt and evolve will become extinct.
Many of us still have financial interest in the company.. even as "shareholders".. we're watching the company being run to the ground..
@ Anonymous205275 - get of your high horse. Every company is the people, you remove people, there is no company. We are owed much more than we receive. So, why are we short changed? Because there are characters who take our money to distribute million dollar bonuses to themselves.
