Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Good riddance MR

You guys should take some solace in the fact that they pushed MR out. That was the right move, should have happened way before, but shows that management is at least taking a step in the right direction, no matter how uncomfortable it is for them. No one that abusive of others should be in that position - anyone else acting like him would have been fired long ago.

MR was no visionary, but if there was one person who could kick ppl out of rest and vest and marshall the troops to execute, it was him. I have seen dirs and VPs who otherwise did nothing, shudder at the thought of a meeting with MR and shape up to work all through the night.Of course, the racists here wont give him his due and will not look beyond his skin color. But then, how can you expect them to praise someone who whipped their backsides ?

Wasn't Steve jobs responsible for loosing the lawsuit where he deliberately made a group of companies not to hire each other's employees to keep the wages down.....he did something "illegal".... It is all about money in the end... ..Michael dell said about Apple (when it was not doing well).... That they should close the company and return the money.....

It is all measured by bottom line.....if company is making "a little abuse is fine".... His decisions are making money ....MR is visionary who made Qualcomm so much money ...a great growth story..... All learning ,respect, honor...means nothing......only $$$$$

Nothing succeeds like success and nothing fails like failure....

MR? Jobs? I mean come on dude. The fat slob was useless and abusive. If you have a person like jobs who was changing the world at age 20, I guess I'd put up with let's say occasional abuse as long as I gain in knowledge and growth prospects. I worked with MR for about 3 years and nothing good ever came from him, you learned jackshit from him. Never happy, never inspiring. Good riddance.
