Unless you're not hitting your numbers. Then it is about them and you will be put on an action plan. Really though if you're on a plan it's too late. Your replacement will have already interviewed and you're fired.
It's all about the numbers. The whole "do what's right for the students" is bullshit. If you're not hitting your success factors start looking for another job.
Actually most will agree that SUO has had the worst management of all times in the past few years. Considering revenue is where it is today, most high paid managers and their blood sucking enrollment team members should have been fired years ago. How can corporate justify paying leaches over 100K annually to dial a few numbers an hour while EDMC is at the brink of bankruptcy. Even the dumbest CEO's who give themselves million in bonuses should be cautious as students are getting really agitated when news hits the fan now and then regarding overpaid Assistant Director of Admissions who are nothing but sleazy car salesmen placing student in tremendous amounts of debt. Admissions needs an overhaul! Pay should be at the most for those who have a masters degree $60,000, bachelors $50,000, which is the going rate in for- profit right now. For those who don't have bachelor's degree, Adios and good riddance you slimy creeps.
AUO is a joke - worst management staff of all time. They really messed up when they redid the management structure...only a few of these folks deserve to be in their role. Everyone else.....my god.
This is sad. The so called "leaders" of admissions, student success and financial aid in the online brands have NO IDEA what is right for the students. They are so self absorbed that they never really look to see what is best for the student. When was the last time they surveyed the students to determine what would be best? The NPS survey does not count since no one really looks at the responses of the students.
