They plan to open a new low cost tech support center in Costa Rica.
I have heard that there are layoffs in Bangalore, not seen any one around me.
To answer some of the questions - China is cheaper than Bangalore, but not much IT expertise yet.
- Total cost of operation is quite high in Bangalore, biggest part is real estate. It is higher than east coast destinations.

but during the call they said more jobs will be moved to low cost areas. my bet is there will be a net increase of jobs in bangalore.
Layoffs are decided based on business and some of the affected business do exist in India (both Bangalore and Hyderabad). So I would guess, yes - there would be some layoffs in India.
