In the February layoff they let go 700 full time and 200 contractors and said it would save the company $90-$100 million pretax. Severance expenses of $40-$50 million.
In this layoff of 1000 full time and contractors they are expecting it to save them $200 million pretax with severance costs of $65 - $85.
So looks like severance didn't get gutted and many some VPs, Sr. Dirs, and Dir. will be going this time. Only 100 more than last time but an extra $25 - $35 million in severance costs.
