Thread regarding Sears layoffs

sears future

I see a dim future for sears. I have never seen our sales so low since I started working there. Even on the weekends people are not there.

Might be a good year for sales but when your sales have fallen 60% over the last few years you are really only getting back to where you once were. The problem with this is that the cost to run the business are the same or more now that in the past. Cash burn will be the end of Sears.

You obviously don't work for this company. Profits mean nothing if your bills are more than the money you bring in. Just like a home budget. You can get a $10,000 raise but if you owe $100,000 in bills you still will go bankrupt.

Sears looks like they are going out of business. However look at the facts this has been one of the most profitable years (2015) they have had in many years. Sears must update their stores to attract attention, who wants to spend their money in a store that isn't even as nice a new looking Dollar General? Changes are coming. Don't give up on Sears just yet! There are new managers coming to the field who are in it to win it, and drive successful teams who can boost revenue and make Sears strong again. Don't forget Sears was the first Department Store, and will be the last!

Everyone needs to get over it. Sears is dying and will not be with us much longer. Sad but true.
