I predict the world will end in 2016. Forget linkedin and your CVs or the next potential fabulous role. Time to get your shit together for Armageddon. Clouds will be cloudless, virtual will meet it's death! Time to hook up your IBM mainframes and punchcards because SkyNET will take control! Don't be a biatch! Unplug your google glasses and use your f***ing eyes!
In one year Cyberdyne will become the largest supplier of military computer systems. All stealth bombers are upgraded with Cyberdyne computers, becoming fully unmanned. Afterwards, they fly with a perfect operational record. The Skynet Funding Bill is passed. The system goes online August 4th, 2016. Human decisions are removed from strategic defense. Skynet begins to learn at a geometric rate. It becomes self-aware at 2:14 a.m. Eastern time, August 29th. In a panic, they try to pull the plug.
Hasta la vista, baby.
He that's laughs last, is the last one to get the joke!

Although not recruiters, anybody at Right Management is a great contact.
After you've caught up on rumors here, do something productive:
Update your Linked in profile and work on your branding statement (or look up what a branding statement is)
Research the new things going on in the area (Magic Leap, what are the health care companies up to)
Send some linked in emails to former colleagues, asking not for a job but for advise on what might be out there.
Join the right management florida Caribbean group, Add some recruiters to your linked in network.
Do you want to stay in south florida?
I held on at Citrix for the 6 weeks of vacation I was getting, and the thought that I could not make same salary else where.
I got a job in May with a lot less vacation, and about the same pay, but I love what I am doing, and am out the door at 7am eager to fix what I didn't get done the day before.
I would love to see the used car salesman BB and the rest of the acquisitions team get fired for all the 3-4th tier companies they bought, but the damage is done and the ship is breaking apart. Things change, and ask yourself, if you survive the layoff, are you happy working at Citrix anymore? Don't stay out of nostalgia.

heres another lie............ the h1bs will be the first ones laid off because mgmt will fill those positions with qualified citizens/perms already on the payroll.............
You don't seem to know the difference between lies and rumors. It is a fact that Citrix publicly stated 1) about spinning off Goto family instead of selling like Elliott publicly recommended them to do. 2) That in July Citrix publicly talked about selling ByteMoble. 3) Elliott Management called for shutting down ByteMobile, CloudPlatform, and Cloud Bride and if these are shut down instead of sold / spun off that means the employees on them are no longer necessary and large percentage would be let go. 4) Elliott Management also called for reducing operating expenses from 65% to 55%. So once products are shutdown or spun off they will still want the operating expenses of what is left tobe reduce from 65% to 55%. Salaries are a big part of operating costs so to reduce it overall by 10% it is reasonable to expect them to let go some people (just like the did in February to boost profitability by reducing operating expenses (salaries they had to pay). The move to sublease the building the Santa Clara instead of moving over to it is probably do to this also. 5) They sweeten the golden parachute for Henschall and Friedman if they are let go before Dec. 2016 6) Nov. 17th they are telling investors the results of their strategic review and their business outlook for 2016. So basically they are going to tell everyone what product lines they are trying to sell, what ones they are going to spin off, what ones they are going to shut down and how they plan to reduce operating expenses. So something is happening just the exact details are not know and the rumors are about the details not that fact that something is happening. The broad picture of what Elliott Management recommended Citrix to do was publicly stated in their letter back in June.
If they are lies, why does nobody from Citrix leadership/management team come out and disprove them? Everybody, including them, know about them yet everybody remains silent, lending some credibility to the rumors.
@Anonymous199486 Whilst I agree that we are all in dark about what might happen, some recent events ( Mark's accelerated retirement, Elliott's board membership, Henshall's update ... ) have made a lot of employees unsettled .
I've heard all sorts of rumors ( even from customers ... ) , trying to stay focused isn't easy these days .
I look forward to next Tuesday and Thrusday , whatever the outcome might be .
