Hopefully, all the cronies will get on their ponies and get cut.
Too many groups have been stuck with poor to mediocre managers (cronies from upper execs). Always plan on cuts happening to make for for the cronies (friend, neighbor, brother-in-law, former coworker)
Covidien (Medtronic) Boulder started RIF almost immediately. Respiratory and Surgical divisions have been quietly offering buyouts for old employees. Covidien Mansfield has 30% RIF in duplicate functions like Human Res. No longer sponsoring visa program for Technology partner in Hydrabad.
How many Covidien folks were cut? After they were acquired?
I would say it's pretty likely and all folks should be prepared
